Vance Leon Fahie (pronounced Foy) was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Charles and Celia Fahie. Raised in a military family, Vance grew up in Southern California. In his formative years Vance was exposed to all kinds of music such as jazz, calypso, reggae, Top 40, and Hip Hop. At the early age of 8, Vance received his first guitar from his Uncle Gerry(although he would put that on the back burner for some time).

During his youth, Vance was surrounded by many family musical influences. His brother Vaughn Fahie was a gifted musician at an early age.(www.sax4god.com) His mother sang and lead song services at her church. His father a music lover. Vance got his knack for vocal stylings from freestyling and singing the lyrics from his favorite songs...

In 1999 Vance formed the roots reggae band Resination (www.myspace.com/resination) in the Central coast of California. Voted top band several years, with many other accolades to date, Resination has been a formidable force in Shaping the Central Caost Music scene for over the last decade.Resination has made three CDs to date, Live at SLO Brew (2000), Mash Down Babylon (2003), and Concious Development (2006)....

Vance is taking his musical experiences and branching out into new endeavours. Now laced with his guitar, vance calls upon sit in musicians of all styles to back his acoustic performances, and has established a new reggae side project, Nitely Irie. Vance continues to bring the positive vibes through his music  on the Central Coast of California.
